The first quarter of 2024 brought interesting trends to the beauty retail app market on the Android platform in Ghana. Here’s a look at the performance of the top 5 apps in this category, according to Sensor Tower data.

FrimpsMan Cosmetics Shop experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads. Starting with 33 downloads in the first week of January, it peaked at 52 downloads in the week of March 18, before slightly dropping to 49 downloads by the end of the quarter.

Oriflame saw a fluctuating download trend throughout the quarter. It began with 12 downloads in the first week of January, hitting a low of 7 downloads by the end of January, and then recovering to 15 downloads in the week of March 11. Active users for Oriflame showed a consistent upward trend, starting at 43 in early January and reaching 63 by the end of March.

Nails Design - Nail Designs had a relatively stable download rate with minor fluctuations. Starting at 10 downloads in the first week of January, it rose to 19 downloads by January 22, and then saw a decline to just 2 downloads by mid-March.

Representante Eudora showed notable fluctuations in weekly downloads. Beginning with 8 downloads in the week of January 22, it spiked to 44 downloads in the week of February 19, and maintained a steadier rate with 29 downloads in the weeks of March 4 and March 11. Active user numbers for Representante Eudora also increased, starting from 39 in mid-February and peaking at 50 in mid-March.

Korean Skincare EU had a steady increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads rose from 11 in early January to 17 by the end of March. Active users also demonstrated a consistent upward trend, beginning at 61 in the first week of January and reaching 95 by the end of the quarter.
